London 'a genuine world city' for business
There are many reasons why companies may wish to put their old furniture and equipment into storage and relocate to London.
According to chief executive of the British Council for Offices Richard Kauntze, there are very few places that can compete with the capital in terms of international status.
"Principally London, in my view, is one of only two genuine world cities, the other being New York," he stated.
Mr Kauntze also noted that it has excellent transport links - which may be useful to those relocating from another part of the UK - including road, air and rail connections.
Furthermore, he said there are a very diverse and talented range of individuals looking for work, which means employers have plenty of people with a great deal of experience to draw on.
This, the expert pointed out, is "fundamental for any business".
He had previously suggested St Giles, Bloomsbury and Holborn as suitable areas for companies to base themselves, adding that the Midtown part of London is developing well.
