Competitive pricing "hugely important"
Individuals looking to place belongings in Glasgow self storage facilities while they sell their house have been reminded of the importance of pricing their home correctly.
Property partner at Russel + Aitken Dianne Paterson said this is an essential part of attracting buyers in a difficult market.
"Generally speaking, anyone wishing to secure a quick sale should not only pitch their property at a realistic price, but also show a willingness to negotiate," she said.
Commenting on recent figures by Knight Frank that showed Scottish prime house prices fell by 3.2 per cent in 2011, Ms Patterson said continued concerns over job security, high deposit requirements and tough lending criteria have all impacted the sector.
She added these factors are likely to remain an issue in 2012, while overall house prices at the higher end of the market are likely to be relatively unchanged over the course of the year.
