We would like to say a big well done to one of our clients EAE (Edinburgh Arts & Entertainment) Ltd who were recently awarded the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development Category.
The Queens Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest accolade for business success and only 10 companies is Scotland have received one this year with EAE being the only one to receive the Sustainable Development Award.
EAE have received this Sustainable Development award in recognition of their continuous championing of the sustainable business agenda both within their own operations and amongst the wider business and public communities.
They truly deserve this award and have done amazing things to be more sustainable – they have installed a Wind Turbine to generate their own electricity, replaced their van fleet with bio-diesel vehicles, created a biodiversity garden at their HQ and their main mission is to become carbon neutral across all of their operations!
Alistair Lothian had the honour of attending their awards ceremony where they were presented with a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal bowl by a representative of HM The Queen.
We wish them the best of luck in achieving their mission of carbon neutrality and although we’re not receiving awards from HM The Queen, we are proud to be one of the few self storage companies with ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental System Accreditation.
This photograph was taken at the recent award ceremony outside the EAE HQ. Not one for photographs, if you look closely enough you might just spot Alistair Lothian behind the Queen’s representative!
