Kitchen storage hacks for busy parents

As a busy parent, it can be tough to keep your kitchen organised and tidy, especially when you have little ones running around. The good news is that with a few clever storage hacks, you can maximise your kitchen space while keeping everything in its place.

Here are some kitchen storage hacks that we think would benefit busy parents:

Use drawer dividers

Let’s be honest, we all have a junk draw! However, it doesn't have to be a mess just because of its name. An easy way to create order in any draw would be to use dividers. Drawer dividers give everything a place, making it easy to find things.

Install a pot rack

Pots and pans are probably the most used kitchen items. However, they also happen to be the ones that take up the most space. Installing a pot rack allows you to free up cabinet space while also displaying your items in a stylish way.

Get a lazy Susan

While their name may not relay it, lazy Susans are actually extremely helpful. They’re great for storing spices, condiments or other small items. Not only do they make staying organised easy but they also give you easy access to the items no matter where you’re standing.

Hang your measuring cups and spoons

While measuring cups and spoons are often used in the kitchen, they also take up a lot of unnecessary space in the drawer. So, why not try hanging them on a hook or magnetic strip? This way, they’ll be easily accessible without taking up valuable space.

Make use of under-sink storage

Did you know that your under-sink storage can be a goldmine? Whether you install a shelf or simply add a tension rod to hang cleaning bottles, you’ll be surprised at just how much space you have!

Hang a pegboard

A pegboard in your kitchen can be used to store everything from pots and pans to utensils and cutting boards. The best part is that once everything is hanging on it, it becomes a sort of kitchen decor as well – it’s a win-win!
